Ice Age
Silence of the Lambs
The Prestige

Lots of them look good but Ill wait for PQ reviews before purchasing.
Keep in mind you typically pay more for preorders than you do once they're available.

I've got the $$, I just can't find a BD player that is worth the cost! Still waiting for a PS3 but I don't want to over pay list price.

A divorce attorney if I spent $600 on movies at one time

Glory is also coming out soon!!! I cannot wait to see this title on Blu-ray. I hope they do it right as with the other titles coming out. I was so disappointed with my Field Of Dreams HD-DVD I decided to sell it and keep the latest SD version as there was not much difference. I hope they remaster FOD down the road as it is one of my favorite films which I have viewed over and over.

I guess that describes my situation, as well. I saw some PS3's in Toys R Us yesterday, and while tempted, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I'd rather have the yet-to-be-released dedicated player.

Agreed. I'll certainly be picking up GoodFellas, The Silence Of The Lambs, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith for starters.

All at some point.

From the new titles I'm going to get:

Resident Evil: Apocalypse
AvP
From Hell

Then maybe depending on PQ:

First Blood
Crouching Tiger

It is on my list also, but I would not get overly excited about. If it is from the same source as the HDNet version then it will be good but not reference PQ.

I'm not pre-ordering any title until I read the reviews for picture quality and sound quality.

Too many titles lately with mixed results.

That is too true...I probably won't pre-order anything in 2007 as PQ is just way too inconsistent at this time.

I loved Resident Evil, so that probably is a buy as long as it is better than the SD version.

The Planet of the Apes trailer on X3 doesn't look too hot. I'm suprised, How does the D-Theater version look?

I checked out the Blu-ray ad on "The Descent" disc with clips of different movies and it looks to me like "Reservoir Dogs" could be a very nice looking title. I don't remember the whole list that was given on there of things coming soon, but I believe "X-Men", "X-Men 2", and "I-Robot" were all listed. Of course, "soon" means different things to different people.

I like most of the movies on that list. SAW is too graphic for me, everything else I want.

Reservoir Dogs I really enjoyed, but wonder if it will look good in highdef. Doesn't matter, will have to get that one.

Tarantino's "From Dusk till Dawn" is another favorite, as are "Kill Bill 1 & 2" and "Desperado", "ElMariachi". I saw a 1280x720 version of KB1&2. Hope to see a 1080P24 one soon.

I'm going to be very careful about buying new releases....I like to consult reviews about the PQ and AQ before buying. That being said, if everything is up to par, I'll be buying:

Young Guns
The Usual Suspects
Ice Age
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Silence of the Lambs
The Thomas Crown Affair
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Glory

Although the story itself isn't that great, I'm betting Vertical Limit will be amazing in BD.
Are people just making up their own releases? I see certain titles listed by the OP and then everyone else just says they'll be buying random titles.
