For sure. -I'd expect that to be the demo disc at every store, once it comes out. The sd disc has great parts, it is pretty nice on HDnet - can only expect (and hope) for better on BD. Too bad it is in the "coming" section, without a release date.

PotA looks very good on D-Theater. It is not at reference level, i.e. I, Robot or U-571 on D-Theater, but still much bettet than the SD DVD.

I remember when AVP started showing on HBO. I recorded it on my Comcast DVR box and although I didn't really care for the movie much, I kept watching it because the image quality was amazing. I hope they don't ruin this movie even further by providing a low quality remaster.

I doubt any movie made in the last few years will have new digital masters made before going to BD or HD-DVD. The digital masters are already hi-def and the problem has been keeping them looking good when going to SD-DVD. AVP should look great on BD. Can't say much for the content.

PS3 has been easy to find on Long Island (at least for me).
Walked into Gamestop on Friday and they had them in stock, MSRP, no bundle required.
Walked into BestBuy on Saturday and asked if they had PS3 in stock and they did as well...

Pretty average list, IMO!

Where are LOTR, Spidey, X-Men, Harry Potter, Braveheart, Gladiator, etc. etc. Same crap as back in 1997 when DVD 'limped' out of the satrting gate.

BTW, before somebody accuses me of HDDVD bias, titles are even worse there!

Do the studios actually want these formats to succeed - I wonder!
