This is probably a silly question and not even worth y'alls time answering, but it's on my mind so I might as well ask knowing it's silly.
I want to upgrade my projector within the next few months to a 1080p model. I'm loving these HD DVD's on a 2.35 screen w/ Prismasonic 1400 lens, and I suspect they would look even better with 1080p over my current projector - Panny 900.
Considering that all the scaling is being done by the VP 50, and it has a gazillion different ways to configure the input / output, is there a preferred projector to use with an external VP. Or maybe even a particular type of projector that will work better that another one??
About the only things I'd like to look for in a new projector are: 1) street price of less than 5K. 2) it's quiet!
I'm surrounded by electronic equipment and they all have fans. It's driving me nuts. Right now my projector is the noisiest of the lot and it's right above my head.
