NBC Sunday Night Football
Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears
Live from Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
5pm ET
1080i DD 5.1

As the Bears are in, and for playoff purposes the Packers are dead, the only point of interest is if this turns out to be Brett Favre's last game. We shall see.

Looks good here in Cleveland, WKYC-DT via WOW cable. WeatherPlus sub. Minimal macroblocking.

Watching on 50" 1080p plasma.

KNTV-DT via D*, Bay Area

The blocking is noticable as usual, especially during graphics transitions and in the backgrounds of close up shots. Not great, but not terrible either. DD 5.1 is solid.

DirecTV ch 82 is not as sharp as it should be, even with HDLite. Getting audio drop outs.

Looks GREAT here as the Pack celebrate the 39th aneversary of the Ice Bowl. Send the be@rz to the playoffs on a sour note!

"Is this it?"
"We'll see, I'm not going to say anything right now....."

His eyes were wet, and he was very emotional.

Looks like that's it.

Agreed. He didn't want to use that venue to voice his decision regarding his future, thus the non-commital post-game statements. But those statements, about wanting to spend more time with family, and the tears......well, it seems apparent what his decision is.

Not a big Packer fan, but I hope I'm wrong.

What a great way to finish a career! Stick it to the Bears

Last night was vintage Favre. Imagine how good the Bears could be with a quarterback that didn't suck

Bears are done for. What a terrible way to enter the playoffs. They were overrated to begin with. THeir offense is terrible, and their defense can easily be exploited by a good passing attack.

Favre lit em up. Hell of a finish.

Couldn't have been any better. Watch out for the Pack next year - with Brett back at the controls.

I've been a Favre fan ever since I went to college with him back at Southern Miss (I was at the game against Tulane where he came in at halftime to lead a comeback victory) and I just don't think he is through. I do expect that he will come back for one more year and take over almost all of the major QB records and then retire.

Hope the Bears are ready for a "one and done" in the playoffs. Their run D is great but there will be other QBs in the playoffs that can toss the rock...

You are correct. He said he was going to miss his teammates and he implied he needs to spend time with his kids. Done deal; I expect the news conference this week from Green Bay before he leaves for his ranch in Mississippi.

The Bears just do not look playoff ready. I would enjoy a Chargers / Bears Super Bowl; although I don't trust Grossman to be mentally tough in a Super Bowl. Might be a meltdown candidate like McNabb. You never know.
