Ok, here is why my Plasma is defective.

So, did you get it replaced?

New one is coming wed. I want to ask why now a second line of dead pixels suddenly appeared??? Can a bad outlet cause this? The Plasma is hooked up to a surge protector. This T.V. is just getting worse and worse. Now that I look closer it appears that the newer line is actually two rows of dead pixels right next to each other.

Can it really be that this T.V. is really this defective, or is there something else that can be the culprit?

Probably just a bad panasonic - it happens. Hopefully it's replacment will be trouble-free. The vast majority to panasonic users love their plasmas, so this is definitely an anomoly.

Are you getting it replaced under warranty?

Yes, it's covered by CC's 30 day guarantee.

What are the chances of two rows of dead pixels just showing up out of the blue? I thought dead pixels would have showed up right out of the box? Could there be something wrong with the DVD player, HDMI, electrical outlet, etc...?

No, not likely, and probably not.

Your set is pooched - and it is pooched for any number of reasons, but it's still pooched. Relax and enjoy it's successor.
