How long does it take for the PS3 to load a movie?

Tried searching but couldn't find....As some of you might know I was shooting around the idea of converting from HD DVD to BD or just being format neutral...well, my wife picked me up a 20 gig PS3 as an early B-day present(Jan. 11th) and got me X3, KOH, Tears of the Sun and F4. I'm working right now so I won't get to play with it for a few more hours.

But anyway....from turn on to movie start...how long?

15 seconds, according to Sound and Vision, if I remember correctly.

If a BD is in the slot drive when the PS3 is turned, it takes 15 seconds to get to the FBI warning.

If the PS3 is already turned on and "Play from Beginning" is selected via the XMB submenu for the BD-Rom, it takes 9 seconds to get to the FBI warning.

The PS3 is a lot faster than my Sammy BD player

I used my rented copy of Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut for this. As an aside, I recommend watching this 2006 release that is so much better than the theatrical release from 25+ years ago.

Very close to normal DVD time, maybe a few seconds more, certainly not noticeable to me. It also has the best trick mode navigation out there right now. FFWD by 1.5x, frame by frame advance and reverse, pretty much a jog wheel type frame navigation for those who can remember what those things on LDs were like. (except no jog wheel on controller).
