Cant find a review of this title.
Is it good or not?
I have it, but haven't watched it yet. I'll post my thoughts to this thread once I've viewed it.

great definition and detail. Some minor EE(which is the case in the majority of Universal releases) - some don't really notice EE though. But definately tier 1 in terms of definition and pop - though color is intentionally muted. Awesome and immersive DD+ track

Wanting to pick up this title, where can it be found at a reasonable price? $40 at Best Buy!!!!
I really enjoyed it. Some really nice scenes in here. I can't comment about the EE because I didn't see any, but that's probably due to the AE900 setup.

Well, amazon for 27.99 minus 10% if you have the HD discount

PCMusicGuy: what did you think relative to other good looking titles? There hasn't been a real review of this title. I really enjoyed it, especially the audio in the fight sequences.
How do you get the HD discount?
I got it for purchasing the A1 from Amazon. Not too sure otherwise. But $27.99 is alot better than what BB is charging.

I have never spent $40 on an HD-DVD and probably never will. That's $20 short of a 360 game

Why does Amazon say Fearless "usually ships in 1 to 2 weeks?"
I really enjoyed this HD-DVD.
Oh, means they are expecting a shipment - not currently in stock. After all, it is currently the #3 bestseller after Batman Begins and V for Vendetta

You get by either one or other
a) purchasing an HD-DVD player
b) purchasing 3 HD-DVD movies

Here's an existing four page thread on the title. There are reviews/comments about the disc within this thread.

this has got to be one of the best martial arts film I have seen. Story wise its a bit shakey, however the fight scenes are spectacular. They did a very good job keeping it fresh, which is difficult for a movie of the type.

as good as the fight scenes are however, IMO ong bok still has the top action scenes in a martial arts film.

I'd have to give it to Jet Li's Fist of Legend. the only R1 release is a crappy non-16:9 release from like 6yrs ago. Second favorite is Fist of Fury by Bruce Lee(same story as the former). Master Killer a close third.

Another great Li film, Kiss of the Dragon. Too bad it's a Fox title

Its a great movie. I enjoyed the story and audio/video quality.
Target.com has it for $28. I printed this and had it price matched at Best Buy.
Hope this helps,
knpm

Let's hope the Weinsteins release Fist of Legend to HD DVD soon in a nice Special Edition disc.
seriously though, Fist of Legend is as insane as MA films can get. It's indescribable how brilliant and genius that film was, dethroned a bunch of greats when it first came out

I just watched it , as I bought it on HDDVD as a blind buy.
Wow am I glad I did. Excellent excellent movie. Pic qty is tear 2 but sound a tear 3 as most of the sound drives from the center.
Overall I would give it:
Picture QTY *** / ****
Sound QTY **/****
Tier 1 for sound and PQ.
The movie is excellent.
This was a blind buy for me as well. I was very pleased.

It was only a matter of time. I just hope that this one finds its way to HD-DVD as well.

Is Fearless a wirefighting film?

also... Why is this Jet Li's last film?

It isn't his last film. It his last Martial Arts Epic. Martial Arts Epic means that the film deals with religious or philosophical issues (According to Wikipedia). He is suppose to be making a film with Jason Stratham and one with Jackie Chan.
i changed my mind, this is a tier 2 for sure. Not up to snuff of tier 1 consistency - way too many soft shots

Man, you are right on point with your reviews. I try to tell people how sick Fist of Legend is, but it hasn't had a decent release yet. Kiss of the Dragon is also underrated. FOL is Jet Li's best though, hands down. Fearless is right up there also, but it isn't nonstop fighting like FOL.

It's not a "wire-fu" film, though there is a little wire work that really isn't noticable.

This is without doubt a great looking movie There are a few combos i'd like but refuse to pay the silly prices, however.....the R3 DVD of this film has no English subs so i had to suck it up !

To be specific, Fearless is Jet Li's final Wuxia film.

He's still going to do modern-type martial arts flicks. I just hope they turn out better than Romeo Must Die and The One. Unleashed was pretty decent, for those of you who saw that one.
