first...happy new year from Roma...

I'm very confused...i want to buy a 50" panasonic 1080p plasma....
i read many posts since spring 2006.
Japanese models american models european models.....
pz600 pz700 th-50pf9ek th-50pf9uk......
but finally a few days ago on italian panasonic site appears panasonic.it/Products_Info.asp?M=3716|804|1772|784|4|1
This is a monitor ..not a tv....
When a "plasma tv" 1080p 50" will be available in europe?
i see that is possible to use different input board.
Which is the best board configuration (the TY-FB8HM board is a hdmi 1.1)...
considering only 3 slots available.
Where is possible to read a good review of this product ?
considering the only two 1080p 50" plasma monitors (pioneer and panasonic)
wich one is better?
connecting these two devices to an "old" svideo input...wich one shows the best picture?

S Video is limited to 480i so if that is all you really plan to connect there is no logic in paying for 1080p.

Do you have an HD source?

Of course...
i use to watch hd sat transmission... My dvd can rescale up to 1080i....
but............
my sons realy like to watch the old vhs tape.... (svideo)
my "old" video camera has an svideo output.....
so the question was.....how is the picture on a super 1080p monitor using last year technology (s-video)?

If most of your watching is 480i (even upscaled from a DVD) I would not waste money on 1080p. For a fraction of that cost you can get a Panasonic 42" ED plasma TV that will do a much better job with 480i content and still look very good with HD.
