Having some compatiblity issues. Help?

I get a different sound level every time I turn the 360 on. The reciever will be on, and it is very loud at 17. I can turn the Xbox off and on and it is quiet. I have to turn it up to around 20 to get to the same level as before. Is this a 360, optical cable, or reciever problem.

My 360 will cycle on and off of Xbox Live mulitple times if I am not playing an online match.

I am all of a sudden having to run network tests on the 360 to sign in. After the first test it passes everything and then I'm connected. Now it's passing and failing the tests in a random order. First It will pass all the way to ICMP and fail Xbox Live. Next, it will fail IP. Then it will fail ICMP. It makes no sense. Are these router problems or 360 problems?

I have a WRT54G Linksys router if it helps.

1. Do you have the same problem when you dont use your reciever and are you playing the same game.

I havn't notice that problem weather i'm using my reciever or not. I am using the optical cable as you are.

As far 2. and 3. goes, never heard of that problem with the 360. I do have the same router as you and never have had that type of problem with the router or the 360. I did have the red rings of death and am on my second 360.

If I had a guess I would say xbox only because you are having more that one type of problem. (however this is a un educated guess)

Sorry i'm not much of help. On a side note you and I have the same color of truck. However you are alittle bit faster than I. Do you go to NLOC at all?

I only play audio through the reciever so I'm not sure.

Rarely go to NLOC usually SVTP. What about you?

Mostly go to NLOC havent been on SVTP very much maybe once or twice.

Have you changed any of your settings or loaded any new software. I would try and run an ethernet cable and see if you are have the same network problems. Do you have an laptop, if so are you having the same problems with it's conections.

The first place I would start is with the router and the setting on your computer and than go from there.

Good luck i'm sure it's something simple.
