I've heard that the pio elite is a bit better, but other than that it is better (IMO) than any HD display that I've seen (plasma, lcd and dlp). I do have a ED unit that I think looks a bit better with SD, but it's also considerably smaller, so it's tough to say.
The general consensus seems to be that the 5070 has the best SD PQ of any plasma in it's price range.
