what amp equipment do I need to listen to streamed music???

I am an audio newbie and is trying to figure out what amp equipment I need to listen to streamed music in my bedroom and family room. I have all my CDs ripped into my iTunes library and use Squeezebox to access the library wirelessly. I'd like to use the optical audio output on Squeezebox. I have a set of Paradigm speakers in my family room. I am looking into NHT M00 powered speakers for my bedroom.
