Best Setup for <10K with the following:

I'm interested in acquiring a 1080p projector since I now have the pioneer blu-ray player and just finished my basement. My environment has the following:

- Front row seating is 10-11'
- Second row is 16-17'
- Ambient Light is present (tan walls, white ceiling, 2 small glass block windows)
- Ceiling height is only 7'
- Projector can me mounted anywhere, but would prefer at back wall around 18' (is minimum throw preferable, or maximum throw?)

I was thinking a 92" diag. screen, but I really want the image to pop even with ambient light, so what gain on screen, and how many lumens? What projector/screen combos should I be considering for my budget? I have read really good reviews of pearl, mits, and panny but am new to front projection. Thanks for all of your help.

18 feet back with a 80 inch wide screen is going to be real tough. Of the top of my head, one of the few that could do that would be the Panasonic AE-1000. since 92 diag is relatively small, then just about any projector will be able to handle the light and since you have ambient light, a firehawk or equivalent would work fine for you.
