XBOX 1080P 360 HD VGA Timing Issues

I just got a VGA cable for the 360. On my projector I cannot see the left side of the image IN 1080P. Acts like the timing of the signal is incorrect or the projector retrace time is too long. I am using a Sony 1271.

Has any one used this succesfully on a different display. I am probably missing about 10% of the image left on left.

I have the same issue on my G90 with 1080P from the X360's VGA.

See this thread:
XBox360 on G90 at 1080P??

Basically, I can't shift the image without losing one side or the other... the image wraps under itself:

But 1080P is way too much for your 1271 anyways. 1080i from the VGA cable would be ideal for you... check out the link in my signature and let Microsoft know you want 1080i from the XBox360's VGA cable.

This must be a Sony issue then, I just hooked this up to my MP moded 9500 and the image is just beautiful and perfectly centered. I didn't have to do anything other than touch up the convergence.

Clarence- Ya it is definately writing on the retrace see how it's wrapping around. I believe the sony retrace is just too slow on their yokes and/or the internal sweep start sync pulse is too lwide. I wonder if there is a sony spec for that.

Anyone know the horizontal blanking time for 1080P?

I guess this is some what related to the timing issue

I just picked up an xbox 360 as well.
I'm running it on a barco 808 right now and it looks good but not as good as it should.
The reason? well it's a Barco so it can't handle positive sync on anything except 1024x768.
Does anybody know if there is anyway to change to negative sync in the xbox 360 some how so I can run higher resolutions form it? Or do I need an Barco interface to change the sync polarities after they have been output form the xbox 360?

I don't have one of those handy since I'm still out of town just toying with my xbox 360 with a BD808 I traded in before I left work behind me and headed on to where I was going to spend christmas and new years eve.

I must say I'm really disspointed at the limited settings in the 360 compared to my old xbox but then again I had xbmc on that one.

Just for the record, I'm having problems with 1080p from the XBOX 360 on my Barco 1208 through the VGA output. Inputs 3 and input 5 have the same symptoms. Perhaps it's a synch problem - who knows?

I just hooked up the XBox 360 to my Toshiba RPTV and it is also cutting off the very left side of the image
JBJR- Are you sure your not losing the left at any percentage when comapred to 1360x??? resolution?
