Received My Free Lamp Coupon From Mitsubishi Today!!!

I sent in my rebate assuming Mitsubishi would deny it, but I figured what the heck. My doubts only worsened when I read people on here say that they received a letter from them denying the rebate. After about a month and losing all hope I went to my mailbox today not even expecting any letter from them, but I was wrong. When I saw MITSUBISHI on the outside of it I assumed it would be their rejection of my rebate so it was the last thing I opened, but by the grace of God they fulfilled my request. I am just suprised and happy as hell now because I bought it at the sub $1000 price and everyone and their mother was saying that Mitsubishi would deny it...and I was in agreement with them.

So to anyone out there who got denied all I can say is keep trying because they must have changed their policy on this. GOOD LUCK!!!!

But the question is, did you guys purchase your projectors during the time span of 10/01/06 - 11/20/06 as well? Or was it after that?

I just replied to the thread I started on this - I purchased on 11/20. Mits is A1 in my book by taking the high road on this - they certainly did not have to.

Wow. I was thinking about ordering the HD1000U on the December 31st. I just now decided to look on the net for a free lamp rebate and then I find one that ends on when? You guessed it 12/31/2006. UGH!

I'm so disappointed. lol.

I guess projector central wasn't wrong after all....I mentioned this a week ago and got scolded about it. edit...I guess they screwed up yours and you got lucky as most got turned down after 11-20...

now that's customer service! Props to Mitsubishi for doing this even if it's only a few. I'll be getting this pj at the end of feb when the tax return comes in and I just love companies that stand by their product

There is still a coupon out there honoring the rebate if bought up to 12/31/06 as long as you send in the coupon 30 days from purchase and the UPC on the box begins with the numbers 0824. I bought mine before that date but the UPC on my box starts with the number 824.

I got my free lamp coupon too. The key folks is to buy between 11/18/06 and 11/20/06 when the price changed 2 days before the deadline of the free bulb of 11/20/06. My invoice stated 11/20/06 and they granted me the free bulb. Thus, my PJ net cost was $500 (assuming the bulb MSRP of $400--can be found online for $300).

Good luck to those thinking they will get the free bulb with the old PDF that stated expiration date of the free bulb being 12/31/06. It's always possible but less likely me think. Dealers who don't update their PDF about the free bulb deadline change are either careless or doing it dubiously.
