Locate your satellite or surround sound speakers at precisely the right height with this pair of heavy-duty Atlantic speaker stands. Made of durable cast iron with a black matte finish, the stands' sleek profiles add a modern touch to your home theater setup. Each stand features a stable, three-legged base, with enough heft to support speakers as heavy as 2 pounds. Once the speakers are installed, listeners can adjust the height from 27 to 48 inches, depending on the size and layout of the listening area.

If your front speakers are not more than 2lbs, I guess you're okay.

I used a different set of Atlantic speaker stands, the ones with spaces for CD/DVD storage, and attached the L & R Front speakers of my Onkyo HT-S780 system to the top plate of the speaker stand with screws. I had to modify the wire management conduit a bit, but with some careful positioning I managed to get them to be stable enough that they don't fall over on their own, and the "feet" on my stands are much less broad than yours, so yours will be steadier than mine.

However, the speakers are quite top heavy and will tip if they receive a moderate nudge. I plan on increasing the weight of the "feet" by filling them with "shot" used to reload shotgun shells. It sounds like yours, with cast iron "feet", would already be bottom heavy, which will aid stability, too.

I wouldn't recommend doing what I did if you have kids running around the house or pets that might want to rub on them, etc.
