The Mits definitely still has rainbows, and from the look I'd say they just emulated a 6X wheel with the LEDs. I have spent more than a couple of minutes playing with the Bumblebee, but did not notice rainbows with it, so they may have actually eliminated them. If I have time this week, I'll check it out a bit more thoroughly. If it has them, I will certainly be able to see them.
Checking out the two units, the Boxlight is definitely way brighter subjectively than the Mits, so I believe the the 150 lumen claim (and the Mits 25 lumen claim for that matter
Oddly, though, the Boxlight claims 300:1 contrast, and I have to say I think that is either a typo or an absurdly conservative estimate (maybe it's ANSI?). Haven't looked in in a dark room yet, but it seems to be on the same order as most other non-HT PJs, 1000-3000:1.
A "non-discriminating" co-worker used the bumblebee for an HT projector on a textured wall, and enjoyed the film. Certainly it will please the the low buck crowd in the other forum. And for you weekend warriors, it comes with a battery pack which makes it über-portable.
