PS3 and Video Switchers/Processors

Thread Starter
I am curious if any other members are having any difficulty trying to get a PS3 to work with a video switcher or processor.

I have tried using my PS3 with a Parasound HDMI switcher and a Lumagen Vision HDP processor ... in both cases, the PS3 is not recognized even though other sources (ie. a Motorola HD cable box) are fine.

Any ideas as to what might be wrong? I wonder if it has something to do with HDMI 1.3?

Thanks in advance.

Derrick: Regarding the HDP, check the video processor section and if that doesn't provide a satisfactory answer, the Lumagen user forum that can be accessed from their site. The PS#'s are common enough that this should have been answered. I had no problem with HDMI 1.2 from a Sony S1.

My PS3 is being routed through a Monoprice HDMI switcher into a DVDO Iscan HD+ and it works fine...

I am having trouble routing my PS3 through my DVDO iScan HD (not +). Talked w/ tech support at DVDO and determined that it is because my scaler isn't HDCP compliant (it is HDCP agnostic, but that isn't good enough apparently). the new VP50 arrives tomorrow and that is supposed to solve the problem.
