$300 floor speakers

I have a budget of about $300 for floor standing speakers and I have no idea where to start. I won't be using a subwoofer most likely and it will be used mostly for DVDs. There will be no other speakers in the setup. Just two floor standing speakers. Any recommendations... even if it's just to save my money and use the TV speakers.

I'm looking for something that will give the best and fullest sound for the money.

I'll buy a receiver once I decide on the speakers. I have no receiver as of yet.

Look for a pair of floor model or used Athena (I forget the model number), or a pair of used Paradigm Monitor 7 from version 3 or 4.

I'm really happy with these speakers from Cadence. At $150 shipped, you'll be able to afford the center and surrounds as well.

I don't want a center or surrounds. I don't have the space and don't want to run wires. I just want a couple of decent floor speakers... preferably new.

Here you go just get 2 of these ,and they have built in powered subwoofers that produce good bass if you have a bigger budget.

I kinda like the Infinities considering they'll ship free and keep me closer to my budget. I was looking to spend $300-400 with a receiver.

Look on ebay for some Sony SS-K90ED's, theyre drying up but theyre great speakers and you can sometimes get a pair new for around 300ish, if not, there are used ones as well for around 150-200. Origionally selling for a grand a pair, theyre a great speaker then, and an amazing one for 300! I use these in My System and I love them!
