When do new models come in?

Hello all,

I am looking to purchase a Hitachi 65f59a and would like to get one before that model is gone. Circuit city has them for a nice price; but would like to wait just a little longer. (To pay cash if possible)

So, when do the new models come out? I would imagine they are like cars and new models come out at certain times of the year, but don't know when.

I am pretty set on this model and the price is quite nice.

Thanks,
Matt Hester

most manufacturers release their new line in the late spring or summer.

I picked one up this week as they no longer had any F59s on the floor at my local store. I've seen them on the floor until this past week. The Circuit City sales guys said they aren't carrying them anymore and once inventory is gone that is it for Circuit City. But being Circuit City sales guys who knows if they really know what is going on. They were nice enough to tell me to order on on-line and save the delivery fee that way.

I guess it comes down to a gamble of saving another couple hundred or missing out on them. I had intended to wait until Super Bowl sales but got nervous when they went off the floor at my local store.

what you could do ( as i did when i purchased my old tv) pay for it now with a cc and then tell them you don't want it delivered until such a date. i did this when i was having my house built in 04' i purchased my tv about a month before the house was finished and all i had to do was call circuit city and tell them when i wanted delivered and they did no problems. now if you want to wait to pay with cash for sure then i would not go much longer then the end of january or beginning of February because lthey might be gone soon. you could get a cc credit card and then just pay it off when you have the cash. i don't think the price will get much lower on these tv's then they are right now. by the way i now have a hitachi 57f59 which replaced the tv i purchased back in 04. one last thing is don't believe a thing the circuit city guy's tell you. when i went to get my hitachi to replace my panasonic (this was back when the f59's were just coming out) they told me they were not carrying the 57 or 65 inch ones and about two weeks after the 51 inch ones came in the 57 inch ones came in to and i ordered mine then. i am enjoying mine very much and wish that companies would still make them after this year ,but it doesn't look like it so get one while you can.

Matt,

I am waiting for one ordered on-line, free delivery and I used 10% off coupon (AAA or Geico) on the current sale price. I would not wait much longer.

the price in cart on their website is excellent. You can barely buy a 42" plasma for that price.

Ok then.

Thanks to all for the good info. I will be making the purchase Friday. That is a heck of a price and I feel that the set will provide me years of service.

I didn't think of having it delivered at a later date. That will be extremely useful as the weather is quite dreadful at the moment.

I thank you all again for the help.

Matt
