Nobody else watched this? I thought it was pretty funny stuff for just a first episode, and if they could keep it going for the rest of the series this show is going to be brilliant.
It was pretty good. Hopefully it can get even better.
Yea, I like the characters, I hope it does well because it has some pretty good potential.

What I want to know is how they got Mic Jagger to parody himself. "This is my pool. I can't stand getting wet, but my dogs love it!"

From what I remember, they considered a few before Mick Jagger (Russel Crowe maybe??) but he agreed to be a part of it. Title went from "Let's Rob Mick Jagger" changing celeb name each season, to "Let's Rob ...." to "Knights of Prosperity".

pretty good but I am not sure it will last. Maybe all the cameos will keep it going we'll see. I'll keep watching. The lead (Donal Logue) if you dont know used to be in "Grounded for life" That was a funny show!!

This is better. Anything is better than another sitcom.

(From Marc Berman's Thursday, January 4th, 2007, Programming Insider blog at Mediaweek.com )
http://pifeedback.com/eve/forums/a/t...451/m/13010362

ABC kicked-off its Wednesday 8-10 p.m. comedy block with the following disappointing results.

8:00 p.m. According To Jim (season premiere) - Viewers: 7.35 million (#3), A18-49: 2.5/ 7 (#3)
8:30 p.m. According to Jim - Viewers: 7.20 million (#2), A18-49: 2.7/ 7 (#3)
9:00 p.m. The Knights of Prosperity - Viewers: 7.18 million (#4), A18-49: 3.0/ 7 (#4)
9:30 p.m. In Case of Emergency - Viewers: 6.29 million (#4), A18-49: 2.7/ 7 (#4)

Since ABC aired The Rose Bowl on the year-ago evening, there is no valid basis for a year-to-year comparison. But considering that CBS was in repeats from 8:30 p.m. and beyond, these numbers are nothing to boast about. Although growth for The Knights of Prosperity out of According to Jim of 11 percent among adults 18-49 is worth positively noting, the novelty will quickly wear off now that Mick Jagger is no longer on the series. Trust me - you'll see. As for Jim Belushi and company: start packing!...

Here's hoping quality wins out, and unlike FOX, ABC will hold out for a while on a show like this which has gotten some good reviews across the board.

Listen, if they've been running crap like "Jim" for all these years, they could certainly leave a show like this on for 13 episodes.
I watched Knights and enjoyed it (so it will probably be cancelled ;-). Didn't think much of the new show (In Case Of Emergency) that followed it though.

Jim was totally screwed-up here (Denver) with lack of HD and bad audio synch (several seconds off) problems in the few segments that it was actually in HD. Radio Show sketch was quite funny.

The reviews haven't all been glowing. I've been a fan of Donal Logue since "The Tao of Steve" but Grounded For Life was mediocre at best. I'd like to catch at least one episode of this before it vanishes into memory. I can't think of a good ABC sitcom since....since...anyone?

This isn't a "sitcom", not even close.

As far as good ABC sitcoms (or good sitcoms in general), I'd say Rosanne would proabably be it.
Well, glowing reviews got me to watch. Not-so-funny or even interesting show, got me wondering what the fuss was about. I'm glad many of you liked it. I thought it was borderline boring and not that funny - just a couple of moments here and there. THe premise is interesting, if unsustainable and I didn't particularly feel any connection with the characters as a group. I'm likely in the minority, but it wasn't near up to the hype I read and expectations I had. Actually, Mick Jagger's cameo (gone after this one I think) was the best send-up in it. Not much else.
its not fair, how can you hope for 'jim' as a good leadin? that show is freaking terrible, but ABC just refuses to give up on it...
Worth noting:

"Knights" is produced by Worldwide Pants (Letterman's production co.) and Dave is credited as Exec. Producer.

Rob Burnett co-wrote and produced the pilot (Dave's longtime writer/producer and current President of Worldwide)

I thought the 'elevator-music' version of Start Me Up was pretty funny. I only saw bits of the show, but liked what I saw. That means it's doomed.....crap on ABC .

Sorry sometimes I say sitcom when I mean 22 minute network comedy.

Yeah, I guess the appeal of Jim is supposed to be for kids, but then they have episodes about Jim and Andy collecting sperm in a cup, so god only knows who they're making them for.

Knights of Prosperity and Emergency - start packing too.

I expect these to be "pulled" once Lost comes back.

These cancellations are almost becoming foregone conclusions.

That line was ripped off pretty much verbatim from an SNL Alec Baldwin skit when he's bein' cheesy and pickin' up women in a bar. Pretty recent. The KOP staff can't even write their own material.

"...You know what part of a woman I like best? And I'm not kidding about this. The vagina..."

I thought the show was not funny at all and I foresee a cancellation. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Then again, and I just thought about this, they probably had the show in the can before SNL's showing so who knows who wrote it first, but KOP could've at least reshot it so it didn't seem stolen. SNL beat them by a couple weeks and now the common layman TV watcher may come to the same conclusion I did at first: that KOP stole from SNL.
Oh well, I still thought the show stunk.

I guess I missed the SNL "version" of it then. I did think the Indian guy's delivery of the answer line and little comment afterward was pretty good. Not having seen it done before it was kind of a surreal, out of place moment that made me laugh anyway. Loved it!!

The show wasn't that funny but the PQ was fantastic (OTA in NYC).

I would have preferred Daybreak. I could only manage about twenty minutes before turning it off.

the Knights Of Prosperity pilot was filmed waaaay before that SNL skit aired...i downloaded the KOP pilot over the summer because i heard good buzz about it--it was supposed to be on the ABC Fall schedule, but got bumped to mid-season. so, since the SNL skit aired 11/11/06, i would have to say that SNL ripped off KOP.

And my daddy could beat up your daddy! Who the **** cares who had it first? Wouldn't exactly be the first time material was "borrowed" from a different program. Besides, both shows suck anyway so I wouldn't exactly be proud of it. I laughed about twice at KOP and that was only because of Sir Mick.

Sorry. I'm on my fourth day of the flu and feeling pretty surly.

I am glad some of you liked the show. I am biased because one of my friends is a writer for the show, and I am hoping it does well.

I thought it was good, and had some great lines. It had a different pace than most shows. Very quick scenes, get to the joke, and get out. I don't know how others will view it, but I sure hope it does well.
