hey all,
relative noob here. I am getting a new 1080p tv on Saturday. It is the Mitsu (WD-Y65). I have an Xbox 360 with the HD-DVD add on, and want to get all of the upscaling and stuff that goes along with the VGA cable. Well, the Mitsu has no VGA input, only a DVI-I port. I know you can a VGA-DVI adapter, but will this help? The specs (from the manual) on the TV over the Analog DVI are:
"analog and digital computer video (not for use with other audio/video products)
VGA (640 x 480, 60 Hz)
W-VGA (848 x 480, 60 Hz)
SVGA (800 x 600, 60 Hz)
W-SVGA (1064 x 600, 60 Hz)
XGA (1024 x 768, 60 Hz)
1280 x 720, 60 Hz"
And the Digital DVI has:
"digital video only
SXGA (1280 x 1024, 60 Hz)
1920 x 1080 (24 Hz, 30 Hz, 60 Hz)
WXGA (1360 x 768, 60 Hz)"
Will using the adapter matter? Will this TV be worth a dang? Should I bother with the VGA cable with this set up? Any advice will be soooo appreciated. HELP!
