I've seen you over at Klipsch as well. I agree that although Klilpsch speakers are efficient that adding an amp seems to help. If that is my own brain and some sort of placebo effect than so be it, I'm happy!

When I called Emo for an amp after selling my Rotel they told me the XPA line has much more grunt to it than the UPA line. Much more than you see just looking at the specs on paper. I went XPA because even though I have efficient speakers I wanted to make sure I didn't look back and wish I'd had opted for more. More is always better, right?

So I'd stick with the XPA line, and if you want a 7 channel then wait for the XPA-7 to be released. Just my advice, but I agree with what you've said about adding power to Klipsch does seem to make them sound even better!

price wise that's the best bang for buck
as the XPA-5 uses the same power supply as a XPA-3 soo that in it's self is what don't seem right to me But what do i know I'm still learning here but the cleaner the signal the better it sounds ...
