For those of you who did not get their Toshiba HD-A2 yet, Butterfly Photo has it for $385.00 with $30.00 shipping and no tax if you are outside of New Jersey.

I ordered my Pioneer - VSX-81TXV from them and got it in 1 day

This is the first time that I've looked at this Reseller Ratings.com. At first I thought wow what a resource, but when Amazon.com is rated at only 5.1/10, I would have to say take what this site says with a grain of salt. Everyone knows that Amazon is the premiere internet retailer out there, and if they have that low of a rating with this group, there is something bogus. I have ordered thousands of items from them and not one mistake. Half of the people rating Amazon on that site have some kind of ridiculous axe to grind and seem to be border line mentally challenged.

I bought my plasma from butterfly photo. Besides some pushy salespeople on the phone, they were fine. Product arrived in time, in good condition at the price we agreed upon.

No issues.

(btw, I am in no way affilated with them. Just discussing my experience since people had questions)

Got to agree - they are decent - I ordered from these guys before and they were fine. That price can't be beat!

First time looking at resellerratings? Wow, that is amazing. I use them and Bizrate all the time. It is a very good resource. If they rate stores poorly I usually avoid them. Stores they rate highly like B&H and Newegg truly are fantastic to deal with.

It does not surpise me in the least that Amazon is rated so lowly, they have really dropped off in service in last year. I used to buy form them a lot. I only buy from them now when I have to. I ordered 4 Christmas gifts from them and they were being shipped from 3 different locations with a huge shipping charge, I did not complete order. They are not the premiere internet company when it comes to service, not even close.

Butterfly and Amazon are not terrible but the fact remains that a high percentage of people come away from purchase not happy. Why buy something from a place if there is a high probibility that something bad will happen. I would rather buy a HD-A2 for a tad bit more ($409) from Buydig which is much better rated http://www.resellerratings.com/store/BuyDig_Beachtr . Or better yet, Robert at VE.

I've ordered a Panasonic S97, a Panasonic XR57 and a sub (which I returned). Never had an issue with them and feel very confident about ordering from them in the future.

You're half right - I would take the number/10 with a grain of salt. But take a closer look at *why* people are unhappy with outfits like butterfly photo, fotoconnection.com, etc. Their schtick is pretty much the same. They list an item as in stock at a very low price. You place an order and then you receive an email that "a confirmation call" is required to execute the order. You call them up and get a salesperson who then tries to push all sorts of warranties, accessories, etc. If you refuse to get any of the accessories then magically the salesperson will tell you that the item is "on order". Good luck trying to get them to cancel your credit card #. This seems to be most prevalent with digital cameras, camcorders etc, so I *guess* you could press your luck with the HD-A2. Better yet, go with Robert at VE - the lowest price from a *reputable* dealer.

isn't there suppose to be a price drop announcement at CES to 399.99? Tons of rumors on that. Going to wait for that and then use a 12% off at best buy next time.
