I didn't see a post on this yet since the forum has been down.

From the digital bits:

Quote:
In North America, BVHE's 2007 Blu-ray catalog releases will include Chicken Little (3/20), the King Arthur: Director's Cut and G.I. Jane (both 4/3), Con Air, Crimson Tide and The Rock (all 6/8), Disney and Pixar's Cars, The Recruit and Open Range (Summer), Remember the Titans (Fall), and Finding Neverland (TBA). BVHE has also just officially announced Ladder 49 and Reign of Fire for release in North America on 2/13, with The Prestige following on 2/20. We'll have more details on those three in a moment.

OMG Open Range!! One of my most favorite movies---an absolute must buy. It will be spectacular looking (assuming they don't screw it up)!

So many must-buy titles in that list. Woo-hoo!!!

Edit: The only ones I'm waffling about not getting are King Arthur and GI Jane. Everything else is a must-buy!

Nice, I love Cars, hopefully Finding Nemo is coming soon.

Swwweeeeet!!! Open Range with LPCM!!!! And Con Air. And Crimson Tide. AND THE ROCK?!?!? YES!!!!
Open Range, King Arthur DC , The Rock and Crimson Tide are all must haves for me.
These upcoming releases are getting better and better.

Cars, meh I thought it was the worst Pixar film. Tell me when The Incredibles comes out and Ill preorder it in a second, well Ill do that for just about all the Pixar films.
.

It shocked me too to see all three listed. It's like the tri-fecta of Jerry Bruckheimer movies!! Three of the best action movies of all time.

'Chicken Little' will be a reference (demo material) title for sure. Not too sure about 'Cars' though.

Where is Finding Nemo!?

Cars, Con Air, Crimson Tide and The Rock were all fun. Cars should look fantastic... not sure on the others -- not expecting too much from those three, but I'll gladly welcome a surprise.

King Arthur could be a good one (at least it should have some good looking scenes, barring a poor transfer) -- I remember being rather entertained by it.

Not sure on the rest of them -- never saw them or didn't care for them.

AWESOME LIST!! This is just Awesome!! I will get all of those films!!

Finally some movies I can get into!

Reign of Fire
Chicken Little
Con Air
Crimson Tide
The Rock
Cars
Open Range

My collection of BD's will nearly double.
Where's our Pirates of the Carribean 1 & 2?

Maybe they're holding these back for "CES surprises", or as part of the "more catalog titles will be announced in the weeks ahead"?
I must say that that looks like a very solid list.

Hopefully there will be many more to be announced on Monday .

starship troopers!!!!!

Nice, but it's too long a wait. Here in canada, we're experiencing unsually warm weather, but any day now, we will have to cocoon in our igloos. During those snowed in days, there's nothing you can do except watch nice disney movies with the kids.

By march, most of the snow would be gone, it's waaay too late.

I think King Arthur is way underrated. I thought it was a more realistic down to earth portrayal of Arthur than Excalibur. I enjoyed that movie and can't figure out why it didn't do better.

Ladder 49 (2/13)
Reign of Fire (2/13)
The Prestige (2/20)
Chicken Little (3/20)
King Arthur: Director's Cut (4/3)
G.I. Jane (4/3)
Con Air (6/8)
Crimson Tide (6/8)
The Rock (6/8)
Cars (Summer)
The Recruit (Summer)
Open Range (Summer)
Remember the Titans (Fall)
Finding Neverland (TBA)

Oh boy more ho-hum titles , this seems to be the norm now for both HD & Blu . I would like to have "The Rock" and I am sure that "Cars" will look amazing but that list does nothing for me ( that's great for those that enjoy those titles however , not trying to rain on your parade just expressing my personal opinion ) . When Disney gives us Toy Story 1 & 2 , The Incredibles , POTC 1 & 2 then I will giggle and snicker a bit with joy .

Yeah, I would just buy Cars and The Rock out of those too. Although, I hear The Prestige is good so I'll rent that and see. I agree about the other Pixar movies, but I seem to be the only person who didn't care for POTC.

Hopefully they have more to announce.
Yeah, I bet there are some more goodies they'll be springing at the show. This was just a taste (as sweet as it is )

How about LOTR (all three, preferably with and without extended versions?) I would gladly preorder that box, regardless of price.
Ill be picking up a few of those titles(Con Air, The Rock, Crimson Tide, Cars), but its not a blockbuster "system seller" list like people are making it out to be
post #29 of 96
Cars and The Rock for me, maybe Finding Neverland
post #30 of 96
I hope Bruce Almighty plays on the PS3. That's one Universal title I'll be happy to pick up on Blu-ray! Hopefully Starship Troopers won't be region coded either. Also interested in Crimson Tide, The Rock, and Finding Nemo.
