Call of Duty 3

Playing this on a projector takes a long time to get used to with the Wii. Eventually I'm able to play ok, but I'd much rather have just a reg control while playing. I thought it would be a really neat idea, but IMO was a let down.

Anyone else play COD 3 on the Wii?

I think its easier for PC gamers to adapt to Wii controls than console gamers. I dont own it but I tried it and its ok. For games like COD, I rather play it on a PC (COD2).

I rented COD3 lastnight. They need to come out with wireless keyboard and mouse, because the Wii controls just dont work as well for fps.Why not just make a wireless gun like the old duck hunt?

Played it, then took it back because the graphics were so muddy.

I did eventually get used to the Wiimote controls. Not too shabby...

Not as good as keyboard and mouse, but waaaaay better than joypad.

The graphics are much better with a component cable. Not 1080p, of course, but much better than with composite.

I know this is an old thread, but has anybody that's played this able to tell if it's compatible with a Zapper/Nyko-PerfectShot?

I'm considering getting this for my brother as a christmas gift, as it's priced right and he would be into the WWII setting. He just finished my copy of RE4 and loved it, and while I know this isn't as good as that, I'd like to consider this as an option. COD4 is another option, but if I can get this for $20 cheaper, I'm all over it.

I believe COD3 is & the new COD, World at War, certainly is. I have the new one & found the Zapper works very well.

Tried it w/ Perfect Shot. Also works, but still found the Zapper to be better in this case. Something about the 2 handed thing w/ the Zapper just came together better for me than w/ the Shot. Regular Wiimote/nunchuck is also nice - and there are several control options for that setup. But for me, the Zapper was best.

Although similar to CoD3, WaW does look better & has a rather solid online component that will greatly increase replay value. I say spend the extra $20 & get WaW. You and your bro won't regret it.

Plus, it's kinda cool to have Jack Bauer barking orders while you & your fellow Marines take out Japanese troops! The Russians VS Nazis levels also get pretty brutal as the main campaign goes on.

Thanks for the info. From what I'm reading, COD3 requires the use of the A button for aiming (like RE4), so it's not Zapper compatible if that's the case. He's been playing RE4 so I know he's comfortable with playing a game without having to use the Zapper...so I think he might be fine with just COD3.
