I picked this up based on the trailer I saw and Gary's "controversial" review. I should have time to watch it myself tonight.

This review isn't by Gary and some of us would disagree that it looks anywhere as good as this reviewer finds it to be.

Can't wait to see this. My order should be here in the next couple of days.

It's a decent looking title. The soundtrack is the part that really shows off the format.
It is a great replication of the actual theatre image but that doesn't mean it's the best looking title by a long shot. I would lower my expectations if I were you as I was a little underwhelmed by it. I got it before the reviews even hit and I really still don't see what all the broo-ha-ha is about.

DVD talk gave it 4 out of 5 stars for PQ.

it is certainly the top of the BR game, not that BR is bad or anything, Pearl Harbor (if you like the movie like me) is a format maker, the video and audio quality is simply amazing

Pearl Harbor was filmed true Anamorphic Scope, the Special Effects shots were Vistavision, very rare on the later

HUH... How can you even state something like this when at the same time say that you have only seen the trailer and havent even watched the movie yet.

Dont take it so serious. I found The Spot review(one of very few sites I trust), and used a light hearted title... geez.

Well Gary was right. Which means that he's left now. Where he's going, I dunno.
