How to turn a 6PG+ into a 9PG+?

I would really like to convert my friend's 6pG+ to a 9Pg+ to get it to recognise 1080P like mine does.

Does anyone know which board(s) are different and wether swapping them out will do the trick?

Or can you just reburn the eeprom or something?

Glen,
If you look at the card cage boards the 9+ will have a ink stamp starting with 1W0 as well as firmware. Might check the HV board also for the 1W0 and check the deflection ink stamp prefix.

Theres never been a real reason to do this before. Doug

We will hunt around for 9+ with nuked tubes locally and see if I can sort it out.

I'll post any findings back here.

Over there that would be your best bet, you would have a point card if intact also. Hopefully one that wasnt pot tweaked and you would have a good parts machine. Doug
