I just bought a 50" Panasonic Plasma for my 16 X 22 family room. Now it's time for HTIB that is reasonably priced and easy to set up. I would like any advice forum members could provide. Thanks!
Anything from Onkyo or Yamaha would be the best picks. The receivers they include are much better quality and more powerful with more connection options compaired to other makers and if you should decide to upgrade the speakers and or sub in the future you have a quality receiver to build around. These don't come with DVD players but dvd players can be picked up pretty cheap.
accessories4less is also good for refurbs. Other retailers, J&R, BH Photo, Crutchfield, Vanns, Frys or Oupost.com among others are great, even circuit city runs some good sales or rebates on these systems at times. If you don't mind going refurb, that's the best bang for the buck, I would stick with accessories4less or shoponkyo for those.
