DVD does not Play on PC

I have a Panasonic EH75V DVR; Dvd's recorded on it do not play on my PC; I get the message "cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer"

What do I need to do to get these to play on my PC so I can edit them.

It is unclear from your post. Are you able to play pre-recorded DVDs on your PC?

If not, then it seems you need a software app to play DVDs. What kind of computer do you have? If it is a PC running XP, the latest version of Windows Media Player is all you would need. Since you want to edit the DVDs you have made, you will need burning software as well, and I believe all the commonly used media packages include a DVD viewer.

Last, did you finalize the DVD (if it is not RW)? Unfinalized DVDs won't play on any regular DVD players or computers. This is a step I often forget myself still after 3+ years of using a DVD recorder.
