I might have to get that Prison Break one, just to see it in HD!

24? No F***ing way! I am psyched!

24 Season 1. Docks shootout in DTS 5.1 MA.

I'm a couch whore on Mondays for Prison Break and 24.

I figured you'd be posting in here eventually

Definitely a nice announcement. Here's hoping Fox doesn't charge the rumored $199.99 ABC is planning on charging for Lost Season One.
I called 24 first!!!

I just hope they don't price it outrageously the way FOX ususally does.

$199.99 for LOST!...there is no possible way that can be true. its 40 bucks on dvd. hbo pricing should provide a nice template. about $20 more for hd over sd tv. hopefully anyway

I think the Lost thing was bull. Hear anything about it recently?

I think so too..

I'm excited to see my favorite show Prison Break coming to blu ray....

24 releasing on bluray will have a great affect in the format war.
Well these are surprises. I hope that Lost release pans out. I'd like it even more if Fox put out Buffy on BD.

Wow season 1? hope it dont look like "Fox Widescreen"
anything more than 69.99 is overkill.

The regular dvd sets go for $15-$20 every few weeks.

I guess that comment is pertaining to the fact that FOX was broadcasting in 480p before their infrastructure was setup to broadcast 720p.

That has absolutely nothing to do with how they shot the show, which was shot 35mm from day one.

Yeah baby!!! 24 Season 1 here I come!!
Probably $79.99

Surprised they are going with Season 1 first of 24. There is an interview with the DP's from back earlier in the year where they were talking about shooting all of the behind the scenes footage in HD in anticipation of releasing on Blu-ray. This was for Season 5.

I've spent so much on 24 already, it is going to be hard to consider purchasing these sets. Guess I know to wait now for the BD version of Season 2 of Prison Break and Season 6 of 24.

I'm guessing that this may be the UK cuts, and maybe there will be some extras this time as an incentive to rebuy
post #20 of 34
I'm well aware Dave. Just a comment on wanting the best PQ for tv shows on BD. Anyone know the res? I've never seen 20th's television masters before. How are they mastered on tape? HDCAM SR?

Aren't the UK releases usually edited/censored for violence? If so, no thanks. I don't want to see a neutered Jack Bauer.

Why are you guessing that?

Prison Break on Blu-ray. Awesome.

And I've never seen 24. I think this will be a GREAT reason to watch it now.
24 is awesome...I may sell my SD DVD sets to get it on BD.

That's only for theatrical movies. They have extra footage(that's in our deleted scenes) because they show less commercials than we do. Farscape, Highlander a bunch of shows have done that.

Why am I guessing UK cuts? Because it'd be incentive for people to buy again

Considering I have 5 seasons that I've never opened, I might have to do the same thing.
