D* or E*???

I currently have dish and am fixing to move apartments, and also am in the need for an HD reciever. I am planning on getting a dual HD DVR.
I was wondering everyone's opinions on which provider to pick? I know either way I go, I'm going to spend ~$200 plus a monthly rental fee for the unit.
With D*'s new comments about the channels to come, it is tempting to change, however I've read that the PQ isn't that great with D* and is better with E.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated along with what reciever to get. I would assume the VIP-622 with E... not sure about with D.

PQ was better with E* up until last year. E* has continued to degrade their PQ.

As they will have no choice to degrade it more this year to try and stuff more HDLITE channels on to compete with D*'s new satellites, as much as it pains me to say, if it was between the 2, today I would go with D*.

I got D* 2 months ago with my 46 inch Sony HDTV and am extremely happy.

Picture looks great on their HDTV and Sunday Ticket is awesome

If you decide to go E*, the VIP-622 is the way to go. It is very stable and has a nice/friendly user interface. You'll love it like I do
