Dead TV?

Just all of the sudden my tv turned off on me. Now when I try and turn it on I hear I little clicking noise like the TV is trying to turn on and it does it three times and never works. What happened? Is the TV dead? Should I unplug it for a while? Has anyone had any experience with this?
THank you

If, after you've unplugged it for a while, it's still doing it, you can consider it
in need of repair. Then yuo'll have to consider the age, value of the set and the cost
of repair.

I had a couple of bulging capacitors on the power supply that needed changing,
about $10 in parts, but $200 to have it repaired.

If it's a big CRT, it needs a lot of juice to turn on. If you have it plugged into a surge protector, that could be preventing the TV from getting enough power to turn on.

Its an RCA 32" entertainment series. I left it unplugged for a day and now when I plug it in and it goes straight to a weird constant clicking noise and it sounds like the front could just explode anytime or something. Maybe I am being over dramatic but I also did try unplugging everything and just hooking up the TV. It seems to be struggling with something. I wish someone could tell me an easy fix but I have a feelnig its just pipe dreams.

Not worth fixing. Don't waste your time.
