I own a Cambridge Soundworks Megaworks 510D 5.1 PC multimedia sound system which needs repair. I am convinced that the amplifier, which is integrated with the sub woofer, is in need of repair. When the system volume is turned ALL the way up, you can barely hear the sound that is being played out of the speakers.
After numerous calls to Cambridge Soundworks and Creative (Creative owns Cambridge) both support reps either don't repair the system anymore and/or ask me to contact the other company. When I go to those big box stores regarding this issue, like Circuit City or Fry's, the employees there just want to sell me another system.
Now since this is my first sound system that I want to repair, does anyone know of any good shops in the Los Angeles, Lakewood, or Long Beach area that specialize in home theater and/or multimedia speaker/amplifier repair? I'm sure it is just a fuse needs to be replaced. Any information, besides comments on poor customer service from Creative or Fry's, is welcome.
