Help with a severe overscan problem needed

Thread Starter
I just hooked up my 4 year old Panasonic RPTV to a HD signal and the image is slightly stretched vertically enough to be noticeable. I am also missing about a 2 or 1.5 inch area on each side of the screen. The Pvr menu is cut of on the bottom. Does anyone know how I could fix this problem? Is this covered by an extended warranty?

If you are brave enough to venture into the service menu you could easily fix the problem with a calibration DVD.

this is NOT an easy fix on a Panny RPTV.

Adjusting overscan is very doable, however image centering / convergence will cause a need for convergence correction. Panasonic convergence can be VERY TRICKY to do.
