Great find (even if it did take me 3 months to find it here)! $159 after rebate is applied!
Just wanted to add that my order shipped the same day I place it...got the DHL tracking number and all (I know there had been some concern about the "sketchiness" of eCost).
I ordered my PF60 from eCost via Google checkout on 3/14 and my order shipped and card charged on 3/16 (Friday).
I received a DHL tracking number via my Google checkout account (basically a tacking number link) on 3/16 that shows it was picked up on 3/15 (a day after order placed).
The package is already at the sort facility in my city and is scheduled for delivery Monday.
So I will have it in hand THREE business days after placing the order. So far I am pleased with eCost's service and process.
I ordered mine on Thursday. The very next day I had an order number with a tracking number for DHL. It says that it was picked up from Tennessee and will be delivered Tuesday, which would be 3 days. Not too bad at all. Thanks to the originator for finding this.

You will love the unit. I noticed a diferance instantly when I puged it in. If I needed another I would buy it at this price! I may get their UPS to go along with it for the elusive RS1 . Johnathan

Thanks Johnathan. I am going to try to incorporate it into my system tonight if I can get to it. I read the manual last night. It really does seem like a nice unit! You can even connect it to your receiver/processor and it will automatically turn on when you turn your receiver on. I like how you can choose which outlets are "switched" or always on.
And it looks nice too (and yes, looks count)!
Don't worry Johnathan, your RS1 will get to you eventually!
I have had this unit incorporated in my system for a couple of days now. I don't know if it is the "placebo effect", but I do have to say that my sound quality seems to be a bit better! Honestly I didn't expect that.
Can't say that I see any improvement with video though.
Did anyone else's seem used? Mine didn't come double boxed, and I opened it and took the unit out, and there's scratches all over the front fascia, and a nick on the corner that took off the brushed silver finish. Did ecost really send me a used product? I'm on the phone with them right now!
well, after calling customer service, I was on hold for about 10 minutes, no one answered the phone. So I hung up and called sales instead. Sales answered immediately and I told him that it's weird how sales answers instantly and customer service doesn't answer at all. He said that the customer service department was probably closed. (even though their site says they all close at the same time, 7pm CST.) So anyways, I hung up with him called customer service again and waited on hold about 15 minutes before someone actually answered. Thank god for speaker phone's. She said that she will issue an RMA and I'll receive everything in e-mail in 4-5 business day's? I asked for an RMA number and she said it will be in the e-mail. So either she lied, or I'm gonna be receiving the RMA number and info in the e-mail. I guess we'll wait and see. I just don't understand why it would take 4-5 day's to send out an RMA.
Mine was not double boxed, but it did have the cellophane wrap on the face plate. I ordered from shop.com as well, but it appears as though my product was indeed brand new. All of the accessories were wrapped as new. The unit did not have a scratch on it.
Thanks Steve, You win some and you lose some, I just hope they take it back, or even exchange it. I haven't even plugged it in to see if it works. If it does work, I wouldn't mind keeping it if they refunded half my money. It's just the principal that bothers me, I don't know how they would ship out a used unit. Either way I will let you guy's know the progress so future buyers know how shop.com and ecost.com handle these situations.
I just spoke with Customer Service again and they said that I will be responsible for return shipping. I don't understand why I should pay for their mistake? I sent an e-mail to shop.com stating that one of them needs to make the transaction right.
Mine wasn't and I got it from shop.com which goes through ecost.com
Same place I got mine. Weird.
Regarding the shipping, if they don't make it right, I would call your credit card company AFTER to get a new unit and dispute the shipping charges after you explain that you were sent a USED unit!
Rob,
ecost s*cks! I ordered one thru shop.com late Sat. night and the free shipping promotion didn't come up...so I ordered another one (thinking it would not be a big deal to cancel the original order (I sent them an email right away b/c they were closed)...anyway, I called first thing Mon AM and they said it was too late to cancel the order b/c it went to the wharehouse already?? They are going to let me return one, but I have to pay return shipping (normally they do not allow any returns)...needless to say I have 2 of them now (I think they are both new...they were not double boxed and the seal on on was actually broken)!

Well, I won't argue whether or not ecost sucks, but it would seem to me that you didn't do the smartest thing in the world by ordering two of them!
My order was very smooth and problem free, and I received my unit very quickly.
