Harmony 880 programming issues

Thread Starter
Here is my dilemna:

Activity 1 - Set up button functions for DVD Player
Activity 2 - Set up a different set of button functions for DVD Player

The newly set button functions for my DVD player in Activity 2 changes the original button settings in Activity 1 for the DVD player as well.

Why can't I make different buttons control different functions in one activity, and a different set in another activity for a particular device?
Someone said they figured this out but could not remember how they did it

If anyone could help I'd appreciate it!!
Thanks!!

This is a huge flaw with the Harmony remotes, IMO. Logitech considers it an enhancement. If you set up LCD commands for a device in an activity, it will duplicate those commands in any activity that uses the device.

The easiest workaround is to create a "new" DVD player. You would then use a different DVD player for each activity. This would limit the commands that appear in the LCD.

Check out www.remotecentral.com. They have a great support forum there, you may be able to search and find the solution to your problem...
