Can Someone help me with my PS3 Sound Problem?(Blue Ray)

Hi Gang,

Just got the PS3 not long ago. Picked up Underworld, and X-MEN 3

The problem is with X-MEN 3

I hear sound fine in the menu. But when I play the movie, it says error on my 5.1 receiver, and I get no sound. Underworld and every other DVD works fine.

The PS3 has HDMI going to the TV, and I am using the optical connection to the receiver. Again, everything works fine, except X-MEN. The receiver does not do the fancy HD sound, could that be it? Unable to process it perhaps? If thats the problem can I get it to do regular ol 5.1 somehow? Help!

Thanks!

Make sure you you have your audio settings set in both the audio setup and the BD setup audio settings. I had a similiar problem and found I didn't have the BD audio settings set to bitstream. Check both areas for your settings.

Urza, it seems you have your audio output set to LPCM. Try changing it to bitstream, it should work then.
