Here's a comparison shot of DVD Enter The Dragon vs. HD DVD Enter the Dragon......guess which is which, lol.

Great thread btw...and Wow. Hulk looks AMAZING in HD-DVD.

He goes from lookng like a Zombie to actually being interested in seeing a new country.

If only I had a decent way of capturing the images. My digital camera is complete crap compared to how I see some of you are taking captures.

I wish people would quote and paste the quote here of people that claim when SD-DVD looks better then HD-DVD, while you upload pictures that prove otherwise. I mean I know some HD movies aren't all that much better then their SD counterparts when considering the 15gb discs or bad transfers... but some people claim they see no difference between SD Superman Returns and HD.

Mines suck...

You appear to have camera shake in your pictures. When using a digital camera you sometimes have to hold the camera still even after you have pressed the button. It is a bit hard to get used to, but you will have to hold the camera still for longer than usual.

Tonight when it's completely dark in my viewing room I'm gonna try some screen shots.
I'd got a Nikon dSLR and about 4k in lenses hopefully I should be able to get some nice shots

I don't recognize that scene either. I'd like to know, too... eyeball closeups always make good screenshots. More examples: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...&&#post9182244

Chronicles of Riddick. I can't quite remember the scene, but I think it's at least half way through the movie. I have a few shots in the first page.

Also try disabling the camera's flash.

The only real way to take a picture with no flash on in a dark room looking at a bright image is to use a tripod, or at least place the camera on something solid.....even the most minute of camera shake will result in a blurry picture.

I watched it again and it's one of the very last scenes. Probably about 25 minutes to the ending.

Thanks

Would I be out of line if I posted some shots of Standard DVD upconverted to 1080p using the HD-XA2?
I, for sure, would gladly want to see that
post #56 of 1352
Thanks evenodds,

You have pretty much solidified that I will be buying an XA2 as soon as the 1080p/24 is officially announced.

And I would really like to see a comparison of HD DVD vs SD DVD on the XA2 if you happen to have the time.
Standard DVD upconverted to 1080p using HD-XA2.

It's good, though still not up to par with HD DVD or BD.

Edited. These pics are killing my bandwidth!
