Anamorphic and curved screen

Anyone here using an anamorphic lens and masking system? Would welcome advice on hi-end motorised horizontal masking ie companies to consider. Im considering the Stewart Cinecurve or Directors choice. If it helps the room will be 40ft long, 16 seater and will be installing a 20ft screen. Performance and quality are the main issues rather than cost.

The search button in the top bar is your friend. This has been discussed in the forum many many times. One string you might search for is the string HTIQ.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. My question was rather to get some alternatives to the Stewart that poeple have direct experience of rather than just a list that a search may yield.

The Torus is the only way then. The masking system has been devised. Cost however with masking can be in the $40,000 range.

The sound system has the strictest requirements though. Only speakers of these type: Dynaudio Temptation fronts or Evolution Acoustics, far field type D'appolito configs with specially aimed d'appolito center channels for surround will do.

Also acoustical treatments are intensive. The end results for the room however will compete with the finest acosutics of the fines Perf screen acosutics, but with ample MTF whcih the perf. KILLS.

If you would like an opinion from the very top kindly contact Grant Stewart (president SFS) and he will echo my sentiments. 1 513 753 0800.
