has anyone been able to get this to work. I can only get mine to see 5.1. I called and asked Denon and they siad it would but they were going to confirm it and call me back tomorrow. Any help or info would be appreciated.
Yes, it does work but you need to set the PS3 to decode the codec's and output just PCM. Pop in a movie like Descent which has 7.1 (well 6.1 actually but the reciever will still show 7.1) Also you need to be using the HDMI port to do this.

I've been able to get this to work after setting PS3s BD output (optical) to bitstream. Give that a try and see if it helps.
