Does anyone need a BH100 remote? I have one that I've been using with my BH200 but do not need it anymore. I finally sprung for a BH200 remote.

The remote works great and cosmetically, it has a bit of a scratch next to the LG logo. Reasonable price, if interested PM me. Part# AKB32293204.

EDIT: Update, the remote is sold.

Hello to all, yet nothing for a new firmware for the BH 100? I tried the same blue ray X FILES I WANT TO BELIEVE ON A SAMSUNG 1500: hardly read it, not even Samsung. Then I tried the movie on a Sony player, and it booted. Very strange thing. Do you have experience with this?
Thank you.

Thank you.

Call LG and complain, samsungmaster said they were working on it over 6 months ago, nothing yet.

Just tried UP! on the BH 100 and it plays fine. On the BH 200 no go.

I also have both in my theater and I actually like the picture of the BH100 better!!!

Now I'm using a dual CRT Projector set up in a blend configuration so its very revealing.

has anyone else noticed this as well? I am going to keep both players in my set up and use the BH 100 as my main player and if a disc won't play like the X-files then I'll use the BH 200.

Oh and by the way I finally got a reply from Virginia at LG and she said she is sending out a June update? has anyone heard of a June up date for BH 100? I think she read the subject line wrong. I hope I do not get a BH 200 update disc. I'll let you all know which it is, if its for the BH 100 I'll host it on my iDisc for all to download.

Fingers crossed.

Dear nashou66,

when you'll receive this update (if it is for BH100 indeed) can you please upload it on any filesharing server, say megaupload.com?

Thank you

Silly question...

Bought a BH100 without a remote. Thankfully I have a BD390 so I can control the movie and such. Only problem is...I can't get to LGs main menu (Setup?). The Home button does not work. Anyone have any idea how I can get there?

You can't. I had to buy a cheap universal remote at BB for $20 and it works well (somewhere in this thread I posted the mfr and the model of the remote).

I tried the code above, and while I get BD region free, I can't get DVD region free. I assume that is a software hack that needs to be applied via DVD?
Finally got the DVD Hack workin' and when I put a Region 2 DVD in I get no picture and broken sound. Damn. TV must not be compatible?
It probably outputs at 50hz so if your TV doesn't support PAL then it won't work.

I put in a 1080i50 Blu-ray (in my BD390) and it played just fine on my TV.

Doesn't mean it supports 576 or whatever the pal resolution is.

Anyone know how to do a hard reset (i.e back to factory settings?) I don't have a BH100 remote

I did the DVD hack disc and for some reason my player is no longer BD region free even though I have the current codes put in. Argg. I tried re-installing the current firmware and still not working with the above codes. Any way around this?
After loading up a Harmony with BH100 remote codes I was able to factory reset the player via the 'secret' screen. Now, with the 4th byte changed to 82 it plays A,B,C, but the B movie I put in has an audio delay. Gees. I'm ready to just junk this. I tried 80, 90 and 92 and it wont okay the B disc. Only 82.

^I'm wondering what you found so fascinating about it in the first place? If you want region-free, you gotta' pony up a little more.
I've just recently downloaded the last firmware update 090121 for the BH100 and succesfully burned the ISO file onto a DVD disk.

I'm just wondering if anyone has actually updated the BH100 via burned ISO file, not one sent by LG.

I've got Wall-E on bluray, but I think the BH100 will not output DTS-HD surround at all, although the picture plays fine.

It's helpfull when bluray makers ad regular 5.1 dolby to the soundtrack options, since not everyone's receivers are DTS-HD lossless compatible.

I updated my firmware with an iso I made myself via DVD.
my bh100 experience is over.
public enemy would not play, so i purchased a new blu-ray player.
anyone still interested in a bh100 for parts?
make an offer.

I assume your update worked succesfully?

If the file is burned, and does not state any errors...does it mean the ISO image is properly configured for the player to be flashed/updated with it?

I just don't want to insert the disk/image file and have the player freeze up because of corrupted data or somthing.

If you want to play it safe just verify the disc after you burn. Imgburn can do this after the fact as well.

Tried a burned firmware file, would not accept the disc, gonna have to try a different DVD-disk.

Will a DVD-RW work?
Some DVD burning programs can't deal with the unusual characters in the DVD label. Try burning the disc with DVD Decrypter, worked for me.

I used ultra ISO software for the first attempt...which converted the file into an image file etc...

I downlloaded DVD decrypter and burned the file 091201.iso etc...but it burned it as a dual ROM files?...I assumed it would burn it as an ISO image file? Are there setting I need to adjust before I burn?
After I installed DVD Decrypter, I just double-clicked on the .ISO and it burned it with the right settings automatically.

I have just purchased a European BH100 and wondered if there is a mini FAQ?
Does the player support bd live?
Thanks

No

My LG BH100 will not play the Half Blood Prince Blue Ray disks, and I am having trouble updating the firmware. I followed suggested from several members on your site, and I still get the dreaded disk error message. I am using DVD+R media, unzipped the file and am burning the image. I tried Roxio, DVD Decrypter and IMGBurn so far. Any suggestiongs, and has anyone been able to play the Half Blood Prince after the firmware upgrade?
Try burning at a lower speed or using CD-Rs.
Thanks for the advise. I forced the write to 1X and it burned and verified. The update worked, and now Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince plays! It pauses for a good minute prior to the menu, but then it plays fine.
