Upcovert with DVI to Component cable?

Would it be possible to use a DVI-I to 3 RCA component cable to have the Oppo 971 DVD player transmit an upconverted 1080i signal from it's dvi output to the component input on my Toshiba rear projection tv?

Nevermind. I just got this response from Oppo:

"This kind of conversion is impossible. The DVI interface on the OPDV971H
is DVI-I, but only the DVI-D (Digital) pins are active. This interface
lacks the required analog signal required for component or VGA
conversions."
