Windows Media Audio v. Windows Media Audio Pro

I noticed that Windows allows people to rip music with Windows Media Audio or Windows Media Audio Pro.

Whats the difference? Will Windows Media Audio Pro work in music players which support Windows Media Audio? I hope this is the right forum for this.

There is more info on this codex than I can read on the net if you search under windows media pro.
