Hey Guys and Gals, I've been with Charter Cable since it became available in my neighborhood. Their products (Cable TV and Internet) are quite good but there service and billing tactics are horrible.
Two months ago I get a phone call from Charter about how much money they'll save me with their "Bundled Services". This would require me to add a land line telephone but would bring my $150 monthly bill down significantly. I haven't had a land line for 10 years and have absolutely zero use for one. The lady explained that I HAD TO have the phone service to get the special bundled services price. After explaining to her over and over that that I didn't need a land line and I didn't want to make a "service call" to install this telephone service, in the end the "potential" savings was enough to push me over the edge.
They come out, install a land line and I receive my 1st bill with my new "Bundled Services" package. Perfect, My bill went up almost $30 per month. So I get to do my favorite thing, Call Charter Customer service. Bla, Bla, Bla, taxes, fee's, bla, bla bla, were sorry, bla, bla, bla, promotion expired, bla, bla, we'll fix it for you.
So after 45 minutes on the phone, I agreed to a $89 package + $20 for HBO/Showtime/Cimamax/The Movie Channel, get rid of the land line, and lose Stars. Sounds like a fair deal, sign me up!
Get my bill, Now its over $190 PER MONTH. The slick talker on the phone failed to tell me that my $109 package didn't include any of my services other than basic cable and internet. Somehow my $89 bundle turned into a $69 internet fee and $122 television fee. WTF?
Call them up, they cant help me with my bill, they cant even remove services to get my bill down to a decent rate.
I'm about done with Charter, Im ready to pull the plug. They might end up getting ZERO dollars per month from this customer...
They do deserve a "B" for their products, an "F" for customer service and an "A+" for deceptive sales tactics.

I live in St Charles County (O'Fallon), Which way do I go for TV and Internet? All I want a good product at a fair price.
Thanks for listening...
