So all throughout the calibration i had a funny robotic noise coming from my speaker. Next, i did 25 positions and when i got to the end, there was no icon for me to "Transfer to AS-EQ1", all that was available was the save permanently to AS-EQ1 icon. SO i clicked that but saw nothing happen. Next, when i clicked view results, nothing came up. i clicked about 5 times after in 2 minute intervals and still, nothing came up. So i am assuming nothing was done with my subs.
What f**king gives?
As was said earlier, there won't be a firmware upgrade unless your unit requires it.
Regarding the noise from the speaker coming from interference from your computer, I don't think this is good, and it may affect the calibration, although it's hard to tell. If I were doing it, I would not continue until I isolated the cause of the noise and eliminated it. Are you using a laptop? If yes, have you tried unplugging the battery charger to see if the noise goes away?
Until you are able to get the calibration process working correctly, I would limit the run to several measurement positions. It must have been discouraging to run 25 measurements, only to have it fail.
When you are done capturing a couple of measurements, click on the arrow at the bottom to proceed to the next step. You should see a pop-up indicating that filters are being calculated. Once that completes, you should see a button to save the results to the AS-EQ1. Clicking this button opens a brief progress bar as the results are being transferred. Does this happen? Clicking the "view results" button should launch your browser and display a before and after graph. What PC operating system and browser version are you running?
It is strange you are having these issues. The AS-EQ1 calibration process is, IMO, a very simple, straight-forward operation.
