So TiVo in conjunction with Comcast is offering a Boston area (which Southern NH is considered a part) deal on their Premiere TiVo family of products with Comcast installation, etc so I don't have to go thru the pickup a cable card, debug it, get it provisioned only to find out it's defective. Rinse and repeat. I call TiVo and go through all the machinations with TiVo but at the end they can't sign me up with Comcast because Comcast on their end bounces my account # as invalid. Wait 48 hours for escalation they say because this has been a recurring problem but it gets fixed once they contact Comcast. I wait 50+ hours call again, have to go thru the process again and Lo and Behold, same problem. Solution, wait 48 hours more one last time, we promise, and this will be fixed.
I feel like its Groundhog Day reminding me of the living hell I went thru with Comcast in 2004 when the phone # they gave me was really in use by someone else. After all the confusion and escalation, it took 3 weeks to "re-provision" the # at Comcast even with the Attorney General's office involved. Then there is the hilarious case where my Cape Cod condo can't get HD or DVR service. Only Comcast does this idiocy. Bad as other providers are my experience say with Brighthouse in FL was easily resolved.
