If not needed, the BDT-110 and BDT-210 have single HDMI output. I use the BDT-310 with Denon 3808ci which does not pass 3d thru HDMI so two HDMI lets me also get lossless audio.

Thank you for sending those. I hope they resynce the Samsung versions because the 7.1 doesn't sync right now. My subscription is about to expire once again, but I will renew if all of these 3D titles start getting more motion code support.


I'm with you on these. BatB and Lion King should get resynced if they are already coded for DVD/2DBD. KFP2 really needs to get coded. KFP has great motion codes. Puss in Boots would be great too.

Shrek 1-4 and Megamind 3D Samsung Exclusives should now work. I don't have my discs back yet, but Antonin told me they were done and I saw them on the "Complete Library" list.

I have enjoyed the D-Box forum comments from day one. Having reached the point of now installing the full seats and D-Box stand alone system, I can't seem to find a answer to how much will the yearly subscription be? I understand that the first year is free. I would appreciate it if those of you that have a full system could tell me what your costs have been and are they increasing? I have never been able to get a answer from D-Box or my local dealer on this subject for some reason. Also what is that cost based upon, number of programming releases. Note: my wife is a *bean counter and rightfully deserves & demands to know. This new D-box system will complete my full high end home theater. It wasn't achieved overnight. (*I had to sell something to buy something to upgrade - it works)

$250 a year. I have not heard of this changing. The hope is that one day it will be free. I did a cost analyst by year a few pages back. So far 2012 is looking really good.

I think I forgot to add theatrical releases, so that would improve things.

I also did not add TV shows (which they currently are not doing) or the many different versions of each movie that they do. They will re-sync a movie for free if you send it in (if you have a copy that does not work).

Just confirmed, D-Box will be coding the upcoming Jaws BD.

Yeah, I was told it is $250 for a year, or $800 if you buy 4 years at one time.

Unfortunately I already found 3 discs that are not working despite the e-mail I received from D-Box that they should be 3D compatible. I ll inform D-Box about these titles:

Trying to get some used actuators installed into D-box ready seating. I only got the 2 axis, so just 2 actuators per seat.

1) Do I put them on the front seat positions or the rear? I'm also doing a Crowson actuator on these chairs so I'm thinking put D-box on the front two legs.

2) How do you get the existing legs off? This is Jamar seating, which is just like the old Quest seating D-box sold. I have my integrator here (not a D-box dealer) and he can't figure it out either.

The 2 axis can be programed for front or back. You should find out what they are programed for and put them there. Otherwise you will need to send it to D-Box to be reprogramed. I think most are put in the front. Also, you need a pivot leg on the opposite side. Like a tripod. 2 legs will be actuators and the other one will be stationary. This is important to get the side to side motion right.



Just because it is the same seating, does not make it D-Box ready. You may need to cut holes to put the actuators in. My chairs were built for D-Box, but only for 3 actuators and not 4 like what I installed so I had to cut out 2 holes for each chair. For the screw holes I installed these T-Nuts just like what was installed on the ready side.

Just an update on the theatrical side, it looks like Snow White & The Huntsman will preempt Prometheus' chance for theatrical coding.

My Jaymar/D-Box loveseat came with two actuators that were mounted in the back of the seat and the fixed picot point was mounted in the center of the front.

When I upgraded to 4 actuators, I had to send the existing two and the syndrive to D-Box and they made sure the set of 4 would work just fine.

I also had to work on the seat because there were no preparations for the additional two actuators in the front.

Ok, that's an issue then. Is there a way to tell if the syndrive was programmed front or back by hooking it up and doing the demo, or some other trick?

Don't misunderstand, this is Jaymar D-box ready seating. It has the bracket to hold the controller and everything.

I guess I'm lost on the "tripod" third leg. I assume it is centered between the two existing legs on the side you don't remove the factory legs on. Is that right? Is it the same leg as the other two factory legs, and is it the same length?

So basically you bought this seat when they were still selling the 2-axis is why you didn't have the prep work in the front? Because my D-box ready I bought March '11 has all four prep holes, but I don't think anything for a pivot point. In one case, I have to some how come up with a tripod pivot point the seat wasn't designed or prepped for. In the other case I send the controllers off to D-box. So I have work to do either way. Any thoughts which way to go?

I just picked up Firefly on BD and was a hopeful for a brief moment that it had been coded. What's the deal with TV shows? They're not doing them anymore at all, and they've said so, or they've just sort of dropped off? Firefly is short(-ish) and seems more deserving than most. What are my chances of getting them on the list?

Why is MI: Ghost Protocol not on the list? This seems like it should be a fairly high priority.

And why is KFP2 still not on the website's coming soon list? Baffles the mind.

I agree with both those movie choices. I have actually have been waiting to See Kung Fu Panda 2 just for the codes.
On the TV side, I would like to see, but I like movies to have priority so since they are always behind with movies, I am in the no TV show camp for now.

Anybody dealt with this issue by swapping actuators around between single chairs and loveseats and getting stuff reprogrammed by D-Box? Assuming my used actuator hodge-podge is all compatible enough to get reprogrammed, this may be the best short term solution for me.

My hope is from reading this that the older 2-axis chair pistons were the 400lb model, not the 250lb model. Not sure if there is a way to verify what I have, that's what I will work on next.

I have 8 pistons to go between 3 recliners and a love seat. I suppose another possibility would be sacrificing the love seat and stealing the pistons from that and moving them to the recliners.

Any recent good experiences with finding used stuff that anyone would like to share?

I agree. They have made improvements to the coming soon list a little while back, however, timely communication of the coded titles is critical.

Its a no-brainer that Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol would be a highly deseired code. Personally, I would have put it on the coming soon list the day of release or a few days before. It is not on the day and date release, but putting it on the comming soon list on or slightly before release would at least tell me that it is being given a high priority (as it should). My guess is that it will be on th ecoming soon list very shortly. I don't know if I'm going to wait for the coding regardless. I'd have more incentive to wait if it was on the coming soon list already.

Sorry if this has been asked before (it's quite a long thread), but does anybody know whether the actuators can also be bought separately?

What is LAV and MPC-HC in relation to D-Box? I know what LU & MCI are, but don't know what these do.

They are software for Windows to play Blurays on your computer (rather than a standalone Bluray player) and use a DBox system.

I am developing them, I am not related to DBox but I have a DBox system. sanderdvd helps in testing but honestly, beside us, I don't know if many people use it

Basically, MPC-HC plays the Bluray and the LAV Filters redirect the HD audio to the HDMI receiver and the (lossy) DTS/DD to the DBox controller

Normal Bluray players for computer like PowerDVD can't play HD and lossy audio at the same time, that's why I am doing that (actually MPC-HC and LAV Filters are free softwares and I adapt them).

I would like to add that this also is the only way to get PCM and D-Box, so you get HD audio for movies like POTC with D-Box MFX! Thank you Germain for your work on this!

Jep, only Germains MPC-HC/LAV combi can do this exclusive. Oppo etc. can t do this. What s even better, standalone player cannot compete with madVR renderer which can be used with MPC-HC. The last thing we need is 3D support in MPC-HC and I m 100% satisfied. Keep in mind that Germain id working on some lastest small fixes in LAV/MPC-HC, some of them are already solved and I think a new versions will be released soon but I will leave that up to Germain.

I really don t understand why there are not more D-Box users who are interested in the software Germain compiled......

It looks like D-Box is not prioritizing new codes at the moment..... Only 3 new releases until today in this month. They also seem to ignore KFP2 requests
