I don't know that the release day of the week has anything to do with it. They've backed off from promising day 1 release of codes of ones previously coded for theatrical release, just look at the text on the web page (http://www.d-box.com/en/supported-titles/upcoming-releases/
), it now says "MFX will be available close to release day" where before it said something like "on release day".
Have they had day 1 codes on the other recent titles that were previously coded? I don't think so in most cases. Seems like the complaint comes up here like it is only for certain titles but I think there has been a delay for most.
Not the greatest thing in the world, but it is what it is, and isn't likely to change unless the studios got them BD's well ahead of time, which last I heard they do not have any special arrangements like that.
I have Amazon Prime so I get games and movies on release day, but guess what, they have missed on big titles like COD3 and I didn't get Hunger Games until Monday.
Unfortunately, the day 1 stuff just doesn't cater glitch-free to anything other than going to Wal-Mart and buying the BD off the shelf, or maybe digital distribution. I don't like it but I'm learning to live with it.
