Monday sounds good to me especially if the codes for Dredd are available the same day . On another note are there any lists on here for best show off scenes to show others or enjoy yourself . The camper scene in The Incredibles is my current go to .

I've been cheating and using the demo disk available on torrent there is a big thread about here. But not all the scenes on that disc activate D-Box. But I,Robot does which is my main one (although it cuts off before the robot fight).

Thank you for the article . It's time to re-watch a number of these films . This does bring up another question though . You can get signs for DTS-HDMA and Dolby True HD for your theater . Is it possible to get some D-BOX signage to display that you've got one ?

you cannot just use the Home Theater D-Box system for gaming. The gaming D-Box system is different hardware (both the seating platform as well as the decoder).

That is not accurate sanderdvd. The home theater controllers are the only things that won't work. Instead, you will need to buy the KAI-1P ($300). It is a small usb device you connect to your gaming PC and it has 1 Kinehub output. Simply reroute one of your seats to this output instead of the movie controller and download the codes for the game you want to play (selection is limited).

I haven't even seen any good ones for DTS or Dolby (I used to have one for Dolby Digital, but it was pretty cheap) -- do you have links to what you like?

Hi. Thanks for the welcome! I just found this awesome thread. I recently purchased another set of four actuators with the movie controller so I wanted to hear anyone's implementation of both (gaming and movies). I haven't watched a single movie yet.

Do you use solely for gaming?

They sent me an email late yesterday. They made some changes to their server and I was able to get Looper finally :thumbup:

I own it. As a side note, I can't remember when I last rented a movie

Internet sales tax is a bitch, I'm so sick of these taxes... owning movies just got 9.75% more expensive. Terrible that we have to pay sales tax at amazon now.

since four weeks I am a proud owner of a four actuator D-Box system (with Fortress Matinee seat) and I am really really happy about this purchase. I was a bit sceptical whether this makes a difference or not. But it definitely makes a difference! Wow. :-) I use it with a 340-C controller and also with a KAI-1P USB interface for gaming. And, it also adds a great "component" to racing games too. So far, I am happy and don't want to miss it.
Well, nevertheless, I have a question where some of you might help me. Last weekend I tried out the "audio mode" (for all of those movies that are not being coded (yet)). So far it works, but I have the feeling that it is only very very subtle. I feel the motion, but probably expected more. Display on the controller shows that "level" is on maximum and "input" shows the incoming audio signal. Nevertheless, I just expected more "reaction" and "motion". Is there something, how I can improve this (any settings)? What are your experiences when you use the "audio" mode (if you do so).

I have not used the audio mode, as it has been pretty rare to find movies that deserve the D-Box treatment that aren't coded. I could see trying to use it for music, but it seems a waste (to me) to fool with it for unencoded content...

Matt, I understand your point. But I am from Germany and although a lot of movies are coded for the German audio track, there is quite bunch of movies where this is not the case. And - there are sometimes issues with a Bluray (bought in Germany) that has the original English audio track available but does not sync properly with the 340-C. Well, I knew about those issues and they are not really serious. But it would great to know whether the the "audio mode" performance can be improved, e.g. by considering specific settings etc. So, for me it would be nice to have the audio mode running for not coded/not working films instead of using the D-Box at all.

The few times I messed with Audio mode, I was able to adjust the output from almost unnoticeable to over the top, just intense shaking. Audio mode turns the D-Box system into essentially a high end Buttkicker that can provide tactical vibrations from the sound track in the 0-100 Hz realm. There is no motion created in this mode, just vibrations. Be sure you are using the same sub output from y our SSP/Receiver as your subwoofer(s). If you don’t want to split this output, you can go to your D-Box controller then out to your sub(s). You may want to adjust the settings to some good bass tests. I listened to frequencies from 5 Hz to 80 Hz.

Ultimately, I would rather get these vibrations from my subwoofers, then my from chairs, so I don’t use audio mode anymore.

On a side note, Looper did not sync for me on the rental nor retail. I forced the codes to download again with no luck. Guess I will need to call support.

. The only ones I've liked are from Cinema 360 which is unfortunately a European company (all cool things come from there) . It looks like I'll have to make my own signage for that . On the plus side you guys must be psychic . I just spent the weekend using the audio mode for music and it really makes you question the role your subwoofers play in your system . Normally used to shake the floor as well as play the low notes the audio mode replaces a lot of that room shaking . This past year I've purchased subdudes for all of them so I can have pure tone instead of vibrations going to the floor muddying up the sound . I also own a pair of Crowson tes-100s which provided much of the vibrations from LFE . The D-BOX easily beats it in this category . It's a good idea to keep the control laptop nearby because music is all over the place with bass ( that rhymes ) . Overall I really enjoyed what it does for music and I won't be listening without it .

I gather he isn't super responsive but the product looks great at a good price IF I can get him to make ones that aren't in his current Ebay list. He responded initially to me pretty quick on what I was looking for that he didn't have, and hasn't responded to my follow up for 5 days.

Just in case it comes up, is anybody else interested if he needs to hear from more than just me before he commits to adding a template for D-BOX?
