D-Box just synced my copy of Looper today. If you have been waiting, download the latest and it should work now. The delay was on my end and I apologize. .

Guys,

In the past I asked some questions about reducing the vibrations of a D-Box system. At this moment I m really at the beginning of this new project for my D-Box system. The reason for doing this is that I don t want to bother my neighbours with my D-Box system and my children also sometimes wake up because of my D-Box seating rumbling like hell smile.gif

There s a guy in the Netherlands who really knows a lot about acoustic solutions and he s helping me with my project. At first I got some replies from other member on a community in the Netherlands who advised the Auralex Hooverdeck system but the 'acoustic guru guy' told me that D-Box will simply crush that system. When I really want to do it well he told me that I will need to build a 'floating floor'. He recommend me doing this with a think metal or concrete plate. Under this plate will be Agglomer (http://shop.merford.nl/particulier_nederlands/agglomer.html?gclid=CJnIh_SsrLUCFW_KtAod8VgAPg). He needs very specific information from me and there where I need some help from you guys. First thing he wants the know is the weight per actuator without and with people in my seating (love seat made by Starline Cinema with SRP modules, check pics). He also wants to know the total weight of the seating+actuators with and without people. At first I told him that I don t have a clue about this but I just found the Advanced settings in the MCI PC based software that tells me the WEIGHT per actuator. Would it be that simple and is that the information I m probably looking for? In idle without people on the seating the weight is 402 for the left front actuator, 540 for the left back actuator, 468 for the right front actuator and 495 for the right back actuator. This would mean a total weight of 1905? And if I am correct with this, 1905 what? lbs? This would not make sense at all because my system does not have a weight of 864kg! (864kg=1905lbs).

Could you guys help me out on this? thxz

In addition to the above post, I also need to know the highest AND lowest frequency that the home D-Box system can produce......
1 Hz to 100 Hz. I can't help at all with the rest but I know you don't add up the weight for each actuator.

thxz m8. I ve also asked D-Box about these things so I assume they have the exact information I need. Maybe I have to take the average of the four weight data? This would result in 476,25. Maybe that is correct and if so, that value could be lbs and when I convert this to kg I end up with 216kg which could be the weight of my seating construction I guess.

Can there also something in number be said about the INTENSITY of the vibrations that D-Box can produce (from least to most?).

And do you think that both 1 and 100Hz are used by D-Box when coding or will they use something like 10 to 90Hz for most of the coding parts?

Where are the 3 sections?

WORKING ON/Coming Soon, Day and Date, etc???

Unless that information is present, the website is a step backwards. I'm assuming I just haven't found it yet?
It is there.
http://d-box.com/en/consumer/home_movies <- Look at the bottom right side of the page.

Most of the titles listed before are not there now, so I hope they are still loading them. That may prove to be problematic as it takes moments to add words to a list, but much more work to add cover art, links, etc. For me, it is very important to know what titles will come down the road so I can make more informed viewing decisions.

Good point, more work makes it less likely we will get the amount of updates they had before. I am encouraged they have RSS feeds of upcoming and currently working on, that's great!

I vaguely feel like I've seen the MFX-ILC before, but maybe I'm dreaming. Is this a new product?

I found this under the Accessories tab located here.
Nice find I missed that one. Would be a nice retrofit (not clear if that is possible or what connections it needs), but if I could just get a Control4 IP driver written I could do all of this from my phone.

I'm dying for Sander to pop in and reveal what he learned from his recent visit with Yannick.

No, these are not new. I asked about them a some time ago in this post ->http://www.avsforum.com/t/793724/for-all-d-box-enthusiasts/3900#post_20454938

They cost $400 each so I did not get them.

Hey guys ! I am a D-Box user from HK ! And want to say about my experience here !
The problem is I've bought a D-Box unit from the authorized dealer from AV Consultant in HK last four months ! I know that what I've got should be a DEMO Unit , cause I don't want to wait a month for the new one ! But the dealer was really bad about this , they send me that their DEMO Unit , as they described , the unit should be SRP-330 and Motion Controller SERIES IV-BD ! But in the first day , I realized that the Motion Controller is not The BD Version , only a DVD Version , and I contact them , they said that is a mistake about that , they offer me to add extra money to replace a BD Version ! But I've use the DVD until now , and last few days , I also realized that the Motion Platform is only SRP-230 ! Cause I find that overweight and overrun once time , I have to send the serial number to D-Box in Canada to check what model is it , D-Box said to me that is a Model called UMP-200 , that is equal to SRP-230 ! So finally I've found that everything I 've bought is not what I want and what the dealer described ! So they lie to me that to buy there DEMO Unit ! So here , I just want to hear some suggestion from you guys ! I am really angry about that !

Sounds like you need to talk to your dealer. If you have a receipt, then they've committed fraud. Not sure what the laws are there but I'd get D-Box involved if they don't correct it n

Im off to home depot... have to build 3 'risers' to lift the 3 love seats about 10" in the air.

I also need to replace a couple actuators again that have gone bad.

If anyone here knows a good B&W dealer, please let me know, I need a few 800's

Thx for your replay ! I've contact D-Box in Canada , but they said to me that talk with my dealer directly and tell them the outcome ! ><<div class="quote-container">Quote:

Are these the Odyssey/Platform type or the in the chair ones that keep going bad on you?

I watched The Man with the Iron Fists tonight. The D-Box MFX was quite good in this movie, but noticed it kept re-syncing. I have the option, Vibrate on Movie Sync, turned on and probable would not have noticed and issue if it was not on. I'd like to know if anyone else has this issue with this movie.

Perhaps this subject has been broached before but I would like to bring this topic back . D-BOX is an amazing technology that really can draw you into a film like never before . It's certainly not for all films but with the right ones the enhancement is nothing short of thrilling . The subject I wish to bring up is the movies that are chosen for encoding . Does anyone besides me despair at some of the movie codes that get downloaded . Is anyone going to sit through Taken 2 or (Lord help us) Semi -Pro with will ferrel ? Does anyone here find themselves watching films they would not ordinarily want to see just for the coding ? I can understand the need and desire for the latest films up to a point . Am I wrong in assuming that the majority of D-BOX owners are over a certain age and are extremely fond of films that stretch back to the 60's or 70's . The parent company appears to listen to it's customers and I know we can suggest titles for encoding but is that enough ? Can we demand at least one classic title every other month from them . If anyone replies to this can you suggest a title you would like love to see get the D-BOX treatment . My first of many will be To Live and Die in LA .

Nothing special worth mentioning unfortunately. Only thing I can say (and that I know) is that it will be a nice upgrade for both new AND existing users. I will solve the high res. audio problem for sure, that s all I know.

We've been watching the Bond movies, and it is a crime that they aren't all coded. Some of the biggest action, biggest budget, and most loved films of the genre, and yet when I see some of the stuff that is coded, I do question just how they pick their titles.

I saw where Goldeneye is available in another country but not US. I wonder if they just need the disk to sync or will the English language will work?

But yeah...someone needs to suggest that on their Facebook page. They seem to listen there for input.
They told me Goldeneye would be coded "very soon" about a week ago. I still find it hard to believe the 007 movies aren't all coded.

Goldeneye codes are up.

Is anybody interested in pursuing getting IP drivers written for Control4 integration with D-BOX?
Skyfall Codes are out.
